Project Scope:
This project involved the rehabilitation of four CTA stations on the Green Line (Kedzie, 51st, Cottage Grove, Halsted) with scope including LED lighting upgrades, new painting, and new signage. The project also included the replacement of CTA's Tower 12, located in the southeast corner of Chicago's historic Loop. This tower is used to control signals and train movement at a major interlocking above Wabash and Van Buren streets, and it is visible from Michigan Avenue. The construction was divided between two different general contractors, and involved a collaborative effort between all parties to effectively fulfill the project requirements.
